By trade Ronelle is graphic designer specialising in book design, layout and illustration. From a young age she enjoyed doing art and her parents encouraged her to take up art as a career. She grew up in Bedfordview and matriculated at the Hoërskool Vryburger. She worked at the Dept of Agriculture as graphic designer and fee-lanced for the past 26 years.

Illustrating agriculture and wildlife training material for books and magazines in watercolour and vector format brought her joy and purpose.

She received an award for photography at the Artist of the Year exhibition 2025 and the Rewilding Magazine received a Kudu Award from SANParks in 2024.

Her creative work tends to be surrealistic. She works in watercolours, acrylic, charcoal and mixed media. Her favourite artis is Joan Miró.

CAA gave her the opportunity to exhibit her work, do workshops, explore other art- mediums, grow as an artist and make wonderful friends for which she is very grateful.
